Adam Farkas is the Chief Executive Officer of AFME. Joining in February 2020 he is responsible for providing vision and shaping the strategy for the Association going forward and reporting to the Board. Before joining AFME, Adam was the Executive Director of the European Banking Authority (EBA) from April 2011 until the end of January 2020 where he managed the organisation’s daily operations and led the implementation of its regulatory work programme.

Prior to joining the EBA, he acted as the Executive Chairman of the Hungarian Financial Supervisory Authority from 2009 to 2010 where he spearheaded the Authority’s response to the financial crisis and helped implement policy such as a new code of conduct for banks. His other previous positions include CEO for Allianz Bank from 2006 until 2009 and acting as the co-CEO of CIB Bank between 2002 and 2005. Between 1997 and 2001, he was Managing Director and Member of the Board at the National Bank of Hungary. Adam started his career as an Assistant Professor at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences (subsequently renamed Corvinus University of Budapest). He was also a Consultant to various financial institutions in Budapest and London, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) between 1991-1997. Adam holds a doctorate in Finance from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences, and a Master’s in computer-based simulation and modelling from Sunderland University in the UK.

Antoine is a senior rates strategist for ING Bank. He covers developed market debt and derivates in USD, EUR, and GBP. His main focus is macro developments, central banks, and market micro structure.

Antoine has 12 years of experience across interest rates trading and strategy having worked for Mizuho, MUGF, and Credit Agricole.

Klaus became SGCIB’s Global Chief Economist in September 2017, having previously been Chief Asia-Pacific Economist and Head of Research Asia-Pacific, as well as Chief Euro Area Economist.

Klaus joined Société Générale in July 2009 from Merrill Lynch, where he had been Chief Europe Economist since 2006. Prior to that, he was at Lehman Brothers for ten years, latterly as Senior Europe Economist. He has also held positions at UBS and Deutsche Bank.

Klaus began his career at Salomon Brothers in 1989, after studying Economics and Political Science at the University of Cologne and the London School of Economics. He received his B.Sc. in Economics from the LSE in 1988, and completed a Master’s degree in Economics in 1989.

Richard is a Managing Director and head of linear GBP and USD trading EMEA at J.P. Morgan, where he has worked for 23 years.

Richard has worked in the industry since 1996 when he started his career with another firm as a graduate and moved to J.P. Morgan in early 1999. His career at J.P. Morgan has included several management roles in markets on both the private and public side.

Richard studied Genetical Chemistry at UMIST, Manchester, where he achieved a 1st class honours degree.
